SEND
Welcome to our dedicated section for special educational needs and disability (SEND). At Moorfield, each and every child is unique and, as such, so are their needs. We aim to provide a fully inclusive environment and curriculum which is accessible and enriching for all of our children.
Our guide for parents below, along with our policies, outline the procedures of identification and support for children with special educational needs. Please know that if your child requires additional support during their time at Moorfield, it will be given whole-heartedly with them and their uniqueness at the centre of provision. In addition, be reassured that we highly value parent partnership and fully expect that home and school will work together to ensure successful outcomes.
If you would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us – we will be more than happy to help.

Parent comment:
‘Our daughter has had fantastic Senco support at Moorfield primary school. Mrs Williamson is very knowledgeable and passionate about special educational needs. She has a caring approach and a determination to support children to reach their potential. Through early intervention and ongoing support from Mrs Williamson and her class teachers our daughter has made huge improvements in her school work and her confidence in her abilities. She loves school and is thriving due to her struggles being identified and supported. We are very grateful.’
