School Uniform

Moorfield expects its pupils to wear a full school uniform.

BOYS

White long/short sleeved shirt and school tie

Navy blue V-neck jumper with school logo

grey short / long, tailored, slate grey trousers (No slim/skinny fit trousers)

Black shoes / grey socks

During summer

Long/short sleeved white shirt and school tie

Plain navy blue cap

GIRLS

White long/short sleeved shirt and school tie

Navy blue school cardigan or jumper with school logo

red/blue checked skirt or kilt skirt / approved, tailored slate grey school trousers

Navy socks (plain) or tights

flat heeled dark shoes (not trainers)

During summer

blue, all gingham dress (checks)/culottes – please note – no playsuits

Long/short sleeved white shirt and tie / skirt/ grey knee length tailored shorts

white socks

Plain navy blue cap

Black shoes – no sandals or ‘jelly’ shoes

Hairstyles

Please ensure that your child does not come to school with an extreme hairstyle, coloured hair or a hairstyle that becomes a distraction during lessons and hinders learning – for example, an overly long fringe or adornments ie beaded/ribonned braids.  All long hair should be tied back with plain black/blue bobbles /and or a thin blue ribbon only.

Jewellery

As stated on previous correspondence and newsletters  jewellery, other than a wrist watch, is not permitted.  If your child is having his/her ears pierced, please ensure that this is done at the beginning of the summer break to give time for ears to heal so that earrings can be left out whilst your child is at school.

BAGS

Please ensure that your child brings a school book bag into school. There is no room for large ruck sacks. These bags are available from Boydell’s.

Clothing for PE

For the foreseeable future PE lessons will, as much as possible, take place outside so it is vital that pupils have the correct outdoor PE kit. 

Your child will need:

Indoor/warm weather PE kit – White school T-shirt with logo (plain white T-shirt is acceptable) and school navy shorts . A change of socks is also required ie white ankle socks. Black canvas pumps.

Outdoor/ cold weather PE kit – Navy school hoodie with logo (available from approved suppliers) and navy plain sweat-pants (available from supermarket / other outlets) NOT leggings and NOT branded makes. All black trainers. A change of socks is also required i.e. white ankle socks Children will not be allowed to wear jumpers and cardigans for outdoor PE lessons.

 We have a range of good quality, used pieces of school uniform in school.  Ask at the school office if this is something of interest to you.
